Cookie Policy

Cookies are used when you visit our website. In the following we explain what cookies are, why we use them, which ones we use and how you can deactivate them.

What are cookies?

So-called “cookies” are small text files which are stored by your browser on the hard disk of your computer.

Why do we use cookies?

Among other things, we use cookies to better understand how our websites are used and to improve their attractiveness, content and functionality. When you visit our website, we ask you to agree to the use of these cookies. This enables us to monitor and optimise the use of our website. We use Google Analytics for this purpose. Our website therefore uses cookies from Google, among other things. The information thus obtained is analysed by Google for us. The information is anonymous and we cannot track personal data.

We have a processing contract with Google. This agreement states that they may not pass on your data to third parties or other Google services. Google is an American company. The information collected is stored on US servers. Google adheres to the principles of the EU-US Privacy Shield.

Which third party cookies do we use?

(1) Google Analytics

If you have consented to the use of tracking cookies before visiting the website, this website uses Google Analytics. The information generated by the cookies (this also includes your abbreviated IP address) about the use of this website is transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google Inc. uses this information to provide services associated with the use of the website. This includes, for example, evaluating the use of the website and compiling reports on website activity for website operators. Google may also transfer this information to third parties. If you have consented to the use of tracking cookies and would like to opt-out of this at a later date, you can disable cookies in your browser (see description under “How to disable cookies”).

(2) Google DoubleClick

We also use Google DoubleClick when you agree to the use of non-essential cookies when you visit this site. DoubleClick is a product of Google Inc. that sends internet advertising targeted to users. For this purpose, data on user behaviour is collected. The data collected includes the IP address, keywords used in searches or websites visited.

(3) YouTube

Occasionally we insert YouTube videos. When we do this, this website uses plugins from Youtube.com or Youtube.de. YouTube is represented by Google Inc. – by Youtube, LLC, Cherry Ave, USA. By visiting various websites using the plugin, a connection to the servers of YouTube is established. As a result, the plugin is played back on the website by a message to your browser. This playback transmits to the YouTube server which of our websites you have visited. If you are logged in as a member of YouTube with your account, this information is assigned to your user account. You can prevent this assignment by logging out before using the plugin.

Marketing Cookies

Marketing cookies are used to track visitors across the websites. The intent is to display ads that are relevant and appealing to the individual user, thereby providing greater value to publishers and third-party advertisers.
